Homework: Find Ihi Wehi posters 2

Other posters that I've discovered that use techniques such as juxtaposition, pastiche, parody and subversion to put their message across.

Jason Munn
Juxtaposition of two elements to give them a different meaning. Particularly apparent in the bird = axe poster and the boat = arrow poster.

Denis Kuchta
Subversion/juxtaposition of the grave into the warning sign.

Saul Bass
Subversion of film strip in the first image to make a suitcase, juxtaposition in the second to resemble a UFO, and juxtaposition again in the third to compare a fragile egg to our fragile world.

Paul Rand
Subversion of the 'a' in Yale (a university) to resemble an apple (that one would bring to a teacher).

Rich Poor by Grapus, 1989
This poster uses subversion in the form of gold foil to show the idea of 'rich'. Interesting that texture can also be a form of bringing across an idea.
